2023-24 Meeting Dates: come meet us and practice your art! We meet up every other Saturday to chat and practice watercolour and other water-based paint and also have one meeting a month on a Thursday for a short lesson.

If you're interested in joining the Watercolour Society and practicing your art, feel free to drop by at our meetings. Please let us know in advance so we can have some supplies ready for you. If you like our group and decide to join, the annual membership fee is $50 and covers the membership to the society and the room rental at NUP. See you there!

2021 Annual Show

Our annual show and sale took place on Saturday and went really well. We thank all those who came to see our work! Here is a sample of the artwork displayed:

2021 Annual Watercolour Show and Sale

 

This Saturday, October 23, will be our annual show and sale! Come and see what the group has been up to this year. Entrance is free and everybody is welcome. Please follow all public health instructions in place. The show is taking place at Northern United Church between 10am and 4pm. See you there!

Sketching Thursdays resuming for the summer

 These are the dates for this summer's Sketching Thursdays en plein air! Meet up at 7pm at the specified location or drop by later. Sessions are cancelled if it rains.

Blue Jay Workshop

On June 5th, Shawna from http://www.dancingravenstudio.ca lead a workshop for the society's members. The participants learned how to paint a blue jay.

2017 Art Show

Our annual art show and sale was once again a success. We love showing our creations with the public and meeting new faces every year. Here is a selection of the paintings that were shown:

You can still join the Watercolour Society for the upcoming year and come to our painting Saturdays and monthly meetings to brush up your skills!
Come and support the society this coming Saturday, October 28 and see what its members have been working on this past year. The show will be at Northern United Place from 10 to 4.

Here we are and summer has arrived back in Yellowknife!  Yahoo.  So starting Thursday June 11th we will be coming together each week to take some time to draw around Yellowknife.  Below is the weekly plan for the next three months.  I hope you will join us.
