Karin Richter coming to Yellowknife

Join us and begin to learn,
or just become a more confident watercolour painter!

This watercolour workshop is designed to appeal to all levels of painters. The weekend of learning and sharing will commence with Karin’s evening lecture entitled  “The Art of Being an Artist”, a presentation created as part of a recent solo show by the same name, taking participants through
all aspects of the colourful life, struggles and working habits of an artist.

The two full days of the watercolour workshop will cover the basics in this medium, warm-up exercises, demos of traditional and new techniques as well as a thorough review of composition and design to bring it all together. Karin will lead participants from idea, photography or sketch to finished painting and provide lots of handouts, individual attention and critiques.

On Friday Oct 19, Karin will be giving a lecture that is open to anyone who would like to come.  The workshop is on October 20 and 21, 2012 with a cost of $130.00.  Registration happens at the first meeting of the new year!  September 17 at 7:30 pm at NUP Room 205!   This class is for all levels!

A little summer time fun!

GoldenMXR

Golden Paints has put a very cool feature on their website.  You pick a colour and it will tell you what acrylic colour paints go into achieving the chosen colour!

Have fun.  It is interesting but some of the colours needed two different whites...now I am curious as to why?
